The ‘reflections’ offer a commentary on the notions, techniques and methods employed in the presented project. In her reflection,  Reflections on sensors and observatories in the critical zone,  Alexandra Arènes first, extends the empirical knowledge on the notion of the critical zone, based on her extensive research on the topic using ethnographic methods. Afterward, she tries to bridge the common gap between Critical Zone Science (CNS) and landscape architecture by exploring what such knowledge can bring to the field of architecture.
