The general introduction explains the basic considerations of the presented project. In this case, it comprises a study of the strategically important Panamanian isthmus, its tectonic formation and geo-political history which has produced a dialectic tension of connection and disconnection, between landmasses, oceans, climates, ecosystems, cultures, peoples, empires, markets and more.
